The relationship between humans and domestic cats has developed into a symbiosis over a thousand years. Cats know that their owners are not cats. This is evidenced by the difference in body language that a cat uses when communicating with humans compared to that used with members of its own species. Some zoologists believe that a cat sees its owner as a substitute for its mother, remaining in a state of "prolonged childhood."
A cat does not tolerate cruelty and is very vengeful in this regard.
